pH Recharge Glass:
My pH Recharge Glass unit is leaking. What should I do?
Important Note: If you received a plastic spigot, please contact us at support@invigoratedwater.com with your full name, shipping address, and a photo of the spigot. We don't sell metal spigot replacements but if you're located in the US, we'll send you a metal spigot replacement, free of charge. Follow the troubleshooting steps below once you receive the metal spigot.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Step 1: Identify the Leak Source
- Spigot leak: Place a cup beneath the spigot. If the cup catches water but there's no water on the surface where the unit is placed, the leak is coming from the spigot.
- Body leak: If there's no water in the cup but you notice water on the surface where the unit is placed, the leak is coming from the body
Step 2: Fix Spigot Leaks (Plastic Spigot Only) If you have a plastic spigot and the leak is coming from the spigot:
- Remove the top of the plastic spigot by unthreading the tap
- Inside, you'll find a clear/white cylindrical silicone stopper
- Check that the stopper is sitting evenly
- Gently rotate it downward to ensure it's sealing properly
Note: This step does not apply to metal spigots.
You can find a video with instructions on how to install the metal spigot for your pH Recharge Glass in the link below:

Step 3: Fix Body Leaks If the leak is coming from the body:
- Check the gasket for damage
- If the gasket is undamaged, examine the spigot assembly for signs of over-tightening or loose connections
- Adjust connections as necessary

Stuck Reservoir
If your reservoir becomes stuck:
- Immerse your dispenser in warm water for a few minutes
- This will help loosen the seal and make removal easier
Clogging/Slow Filtering
If water is filtering slowly:
- Prevent Airlock/Vacuum Issues:
- Don't let water sit in the upper reservoir while the lower chamber isn't emptied
- Allow the lower reservoir to fully empty before refilling
- Reset Flow:
- Remove the filter
- Rinse under running water for 15-30 seconds
- Give it a few gentle shakes over the sink
- Reinstall the filter
- Avoid Over-Saturation:
- Don't let water cover both top and bottom of filter while dispensing (creates vacuum)
- Empty the reservoir completely after filtering
- Avoid leaving water in upper reservoir while dispensing from lower chamber
Black Particles in Water
This is normal activated carbon dust:
- Allow water to run through the filter for 2-3 minutes
- Fill the pitcher and let water filter through completely
- Discard this water and repeat 2 more times
- The third batch should be clear and ready to drink
- If particles persist, continue filtering until water is clear

PH002 Membrane Filter
There is water leaking between my PH001 and PH002 filters. What should I do?
First, check if the PH002 gasket that comes with the PH002 filter is properly in place between the two filters. If the gasket is present, try flipping it over. If you are missing the gasket, please contact us at support@invigoratedwater.com and we'll help.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Remove and separate: Take the PH001/PH002 set out of the reservoir and separate the two filters
- Check gasket placement: Ensure that the gasket is laying flat in the bottom of the PH001 filter
- Align filters: Place the PH002 so that the four cutouts of the PH001 line up with the protrusions of the PH002
- Secure connection: Push down and turn to the left
- Insert into reservoir: Insert your PH001 filter into the reservoir and pull on the PH001 to make sure it is sitting evenly all the way around in the reservoir
- Fine-tune the seal: After attaching the PH002, make very small adjustments to the right and/or left until you achieve the best seal and the leak stops
Important: Do not adjust so far in either direction that the PH002 becomes detached - it should stay connected throughout all adjustments.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact us at support@invigoratedwater.com and we'll be happy to help.
pH001 & pH001 Ultra Filter
Black Particles in Water
If you see black particles, this is normal activated carbon dust. Run water through the filter for 2-3 minutes, then discard 2-3 batches of filtered water until clear.
Filter Clogging or Slow Flow
- Prevent Airlock: Ensure the lower reservoir is emptied before refilling
- Reset Flow: Remove filter, rinse under running water for 15-30 seconds, gently shake, then reinstall
- Avoid Vacuum Effect: Don't leave water in upper reservoir while dispensing from lower chamber
Mold or Algae Issues
This typically results from cross-contamination. Thoroughly clean all parts with warm soapy water. Always handle filters with clean hands, avoid placing near windows or in direct sunlight, and clean the unit weekly in hot/humid environments.
Filter Not Filtering or Working
Reset Flow: Remove filter, rinse under running water for 15-30 seconds, gently shake, then reinstall
Check that there is no water standing in the reservoir waiting to be filtered when water is dispensed. This could eventually end up with a vacuum locked filter. Our pH001 and pH001 Ultra filters are gravity-fed filters and need proper air flow to work. If you keep water covering the top of filter in the reservoir, and the bottom of the filter is also under water, a vacuum will happen. Some airflow needs to be let in there to allow the filter to work properly. If you never let the bottom water level drop below the bottom of the filter, that can also cause this issue.
pH Restore Glass
How can I remove the reservoir of the pH Restore Glass if it's stuck?
Remove the lid and soak the pitcher in a sink filled with hot tap water for about 15 minutes. This may help loosen the reservoir and allow it to be removed.
